July 4th is a day for families, celebrations, and remembering our nation’s history. It is also a great day for giving back to the community. This Independence Day, Matthew Villani, an associate at our firm, participated in the Firecracker 4 Mile Run in Cranford, New Jersey. This four-mile run benefits the Jay Cees charitable organization. Mr. Villani has run in a number of charitable races already this year.
Founded in 1914, the Jay Cees or Junior Commerce is an organization comprised of members ages 18-40. The organization seeks to solve large problems like poverty and illiteracy by engaging energetic young individuals at the local level. Jay Cees alumni include former Presidents Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford as well as former NBA superstar Larry Bird.
Dedication to others, as shown by Mr. Villani, is a core principle of Ginarte, Gonzalez & Winograd LLP.
