October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. 295,140 new cases of breast cancer in women were found in 2014 alone. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation hosts numerous walks throughout the month of October all over the country in an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer.
This year we decided to do something a little different to show our support for the Making Strides Foundation. We have created a video, seen below, that shows a few reasons why Ginarte Law is participating in the New York City Central Park walk this year on October 19th. Our team this year, Team Ginarte Law, is the largest showing we have had at 82 confirmed walkers. We are striding to raise awareness and support for the survivors.
In the video we have various employees show their reasons for striding in this year’s event. Here at Ginarte Law Firm we are always looking for ways to give back to the community and people who are less fortunate, and the opportunity to raise awareness for a cause as serious as this one, would not be passed up.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation informs and educates people all over the country on the potential threat that breast cancer is. Over the past two decades they have assisted more than 4 million women get potential lifesaving breast cancer screening tests. They have a vast information base for women who are concerned or those who may have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Ginarte Law Firm would like to invite you to join us on October 19th in New York City’s Central Park to participate in the walk to raise awareness for breast cancer. If you are unable to attend there is more information on the Making Strides website for ways you can become involved in the community.
We hope the video is one that you will enjoy and find inspirational, whether it is in your fight against cancer or to reach out to help those in need. In an effort to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation you can create your own video explaining why you stride or go to our Facebook page and comment on the video using the hashtag #IStrideFor.
