This past Wednesday, April 2^nd marked the annual World Autism Awareness day. This event was created in 2007 by the United Nations to raise awareness for Autism. Today, Autism is a growing health crisis. Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys. These figures are increasing as Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S. Autism has become so pervasive that is currently one of three health issues to be recognized by the United Nations with its own day. Throughout this past month, the Ginarte Law Firm has gotten into the holiday spirit by asking its employees and attorneys to donate to the Toys For Tots Program. Biometric Law Worries: iPhone 5s Fingerprint Scanner

On September 10, Apple announced two new iPhones. The premium iPhone 5s sports a fingerprint scanning security system that Apple acquired and adapted from AuthenTec. Subsequently, the entire Internet rose up in a fury of protests, worries and paranoia. This past weekend, the Ginarte Law Firm took part in the 32^nd annual Dominican Day Parade held in New York City. The Parade traveled up New York’s Sixth Avenue from 37^th Street to 52^nd Street.
