The results of a car crash
Juan Rosazza is part of the latest statistics published by the US Department of Transportation on car crashes reported to the police in 2016. He is one of the more than two million people injured that year.
He was on his way to work like every day, when the light changed to red. While waiting for the green light, he saw through the rearview mirror that another car was approaching without stopping and knew immediately that it would crash into him. The impact was not tremendous, but it did push him physically forward and throw all the things he carried in the seats.
“The driver got out and offered to pay for the damages to the car, but I preferred to call the police so that a formal report could be made. Luckily I did, because after a few weeks I started having neck and shoulder pain and when I went to the doctor he told me I would need physical therapy, “recalls Juan.
In his daily commute, Juan always saw the offices of the Ginarte law firm, the office was on the roads he traveled. When the pains began, he did not hesitate and went to a consultation with the police report in hand to tell his case. “From the beginning they treated me very well and they managed to get the insurance of the person who hit me to pay, not only for the damage to the car but also for all my medical expenses,” he explains.
A shock, which initially seemed to go no further than property damage, ended up sending Juan to therapy for three months to overcome neck and shoulder pain and to recover fully. “I totally recommend Ginarte’s services. I tell everyone who has gone through or experienced a situation similar to mine that they receive legal advice, without being afraid of their immigration status. In my case, it has undoubtedly made the difference “, emphasizes Juan.

Ginarte’s lawyers have done a lot for me, I know I’m in good hands
2015 will forever be the worst year in the life of Manuel Álvarez. He arrived six years earlier from Spain and was working in a new building in Jersey City. With all the work done by his colleagues, his responsibility that day was to dismantle the scaffolding.
With a helmet on his head and harnesses on his body, Manuel climbed the structure located about nine feet up, however, there was no where to attach the safety ropes. They also did not assign him a taskmate. He began to dismantle the pieces alone and was throwing them towards the ground. There was a section where another scaffold was below it causing him to turn around to throw the pieces on the other side. One of the pieces he carried collided with the board on which he was standing and he fell flat on his face.
Manuel does not remember how long he was unconscious, he just remembers when they called the ambulance. “Initially I thought it was fine, but then it hit me, this tremendous pain on the right side of my ribs. For two months he was in the hospital unable to do anything. “Then, one day, I was discharged” he recalls. Two days later, he had to return to emergency room, this time at a different hospital, because a lump he had on the right side of the body burst. There he was operated on immediately because the entire area was infected. “They left my wound open because I had to go down three times a week to the operating room to clean it. I was about to die”.
The accident left Manuel with part of his liver and right lung perforated, as well as a clot in his brain that affects his mobility. “The right hand and leg do not react. They’re going to do an MRI to see if they can operate on me, “he says. The Ginarte law firm took his case when he was in the second hospital and immediately opened proceedings for criminal negligence and for permanent disability. “They have done a lot for me. They have taken care of the processing of medical expenses with the insurer. I know I’m in good hands, I do not doubt that, “he says.
