The holiday season routinely brings about an increase in firework related injuries. Twenty-Eight (28) people alone were injured this year in California when a platform holding live fireworks tipped over and shot the fireworks into a crowd of spectators.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a report last year detailing injuries caused by fireworks based body regions.

Fireworks can still be dangerous, even when used by professionals. So much so that four states still ban the use of consumer fireworks.
