One of the main values of the Ginarte Law Firm is to contribute to the community where it works and support a variety of social causes, like those that directly help construction workers in the New York and New Jersey area, since many of the employees within the firm feel a special connection with this community because they have family and friends who work in construction.
That is why this year one of the most important initiatives for the firm focused on community awareness was developed by Joseph Ginarte, Vincent Falcicchio, Bryan Tapia and Mateo Garcia. This project consists of providing safety classes for construction workers, in association with unions and private organizations.
Many who work on construction sites perform the most risky jobs, and often do not have the necessary security measures to perform their work safely. These workers are the ones who are mostly affected by the negligence of their employers. That is why, in addition to representing people who have suffered an accident at work, the Ginarte Law Firm also works to educate and equip them with the necessary information about their rights, in order to prevent accidents. As part of this initiative, Bryan Tapia visits different construction sites three times a month, where he brings lunch to the workers, provides them with tips on how to work safely, such as recognizing hazards, going over the equipment personnel must use to protect themselves, reviewing the regulations to go up and down stairs, and also to hand out free reflective vests.
Since a major motivation for the firm is to support the construction community, contributing to this group is paramount for Ginarte. That is why, at the beginning of next year, the firm will also be offering free courses from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (known as OSHA), to certify that all workers have a minimum of 10 hours OSHA training as required by law.
It is the goal of the Ginarte Law Firm to ensure that the people who are most affected by risks in the workplace and are most exposed to injury have the necessary tools to prevent these accidents and know what their rights are. That is why in addition to being the voice for the injured before the law, Ginarte want to help workers find their own voice when it comes to demanding and improving working conditions to avoid accidents.
