This week the Ginarte Law Firm announced that it is sponsoring a friendly soccer competition between two of Ecuador’s oldest and most popular soccer teams. The match between the Barcelona Soccer Club and its long standing rival, Sport Club Emelec, will take place at the Redbulls Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on October 10, 2012.  The Ecuadorian Consulate has teamed up with the Ginarte Law Firm to sponsor the match.

The match brings Ecuador’s oldest soccer rivalry to the residents of the New York/New Jersey area.  Local audiences will experience over 60 years of soccer history in one special night.  Known as “El Clásico Ecuatoriano” matches between the Barcelona Soccer Club and Emelec have been taking place since 1943.  The rivalry is recognized by FIFA as one of the fiercest in the world.
