The Obama Administration has undertaken sweeping changes to the current immigration system in the United States. The biggest impact is expected to come from the proposed program allowing approximately 4-5 million of the estimated 11.4 million people in the country illegally to come forward, pay a fee and submit to a background check in exchange for a work permit and a temporary reprieve from deportation. There is no joking around this April for our community outreach
This month the Ginarte personal injury attorneys and staff are raising awareness for two great organizations. We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and help those who are less fortunate. Last month we donated over $150 in change for the American Red Cross month. We collected change at our Newark office to donate to the charity that helped so many of us during Hurricane Sandy.
Workers’ Compensation and Third Party Liability
When a person is injured at work, that person can file a workers’ compensation claim petition against his employer and seek benefits for temporary disability, medical expenses and permanent disability, among other things. Most people are aware that, with rare exceptions, one cannot sue one’s employer or a co-employee for an injury sustained at work. Making Change for American Red Cross Month
This month is American Red Cross Month. Our personal injury attorneys and legal staff are always giving back to the community. The American Red Cross is the charity we decided to donate to in the month of March. The American Red Cross brings help and hope to those in need. This is right in stride with our commitment to helping our clients receive the service and attention they deserve in their personal injury cases.

Wondering how are you going to teach them to take care of themselves in the world that we have created for ourselves. You figure that you have many years to provide with the wisdom and knowledge to prepare them for the outside world. [Read more…]
Don’t Get Stuck With A Big Ticket This Winter
The snowfall keeps accumulating, causing people to think that winter will never end. Shoveling driveways, cleaning off cars, wearing more layers and delays in commutes because of harsh conditions is beginning to seem like an everyday task. Some days cleaning the snow off our cars might seem like an act that we do not need to do. However in the State of New Jersey it is required by law to remove the snow.
Meet the Ginarte Staff: Giselle Velez
Welcome to another edition of “Meet the Ginarte Staff!” Last month we showcased an integral part of our Workers Compensation department, Madeline Thurman. This month we are heading across the Hudson to our Manhattan office. The staff member this month is New York Branch manager, Giselle Velez.
Staying Safe During The Winter Weather
Severe weather can affect our daily activities during the winter months. Snowfall can make it difficult to see sideways and curbs when walking. Freezing rain and ice can turn a simple walk into a trip to the hospital because of slippery and wet conditions. To help prevent any accidents during this time preparation is crucial.
