Throughout this month individuals and organizations nationwide show support for the survivors and those who are fighting against breast cancer, both men and women. Every October the American Cancer Society hosts their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk across the country in various cities to help raise awareness and donations for those in need. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk helps raise millions of dollars that not only goes to finding a cure, but also to help educate and assist those who are fighting against this debilitating disease. She grew up in different cities/countries, but was born in the Dominican Republic. She moved with her parents to New York at the age of 8, and then moved to New Hampshire for a short period of time.
