The hurricane season of 2017 will be recorded as one of the worst in the history of US natural disasters. On August 25th, powerful Cyclone Harvey arrived as Category 4 (of a scale of 5) and flooded several cities in Texas. Two weeks later, it was Hurricane Irma’s turn, also category 4, who in his turn impacted Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. On September 20th, Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico as category 4 causing catastrophic damage.
The damage caused by Hurricane Harvey and Irma would be among the most costly of all time, around $ 290 billion, including the cost of recovery work, increased unemployment, property damage and businesses and small businesses, among other factors.
Faced with this devastating situation, which has left thousands of people displaced from their homes or directly without them, Ginarte’s lawyers have decided to join efforts to assist and rebuild affected areas by creating a fund to support the American Red Cross, which includes a donation of $10,000 dollars.
“Compassion is one of the principles guiding us as a law firm. We could not fail to show our solidarity with those who need it most. We want this fund we have created to be a sign of hope and optimism to send to the affected communities in these bitter moments,” says Joseph Ginarte, founder of the firm. “We hope our clients and friends will join us in supporting this cause. No contribution is small.
To make a donation to this fund visit: Hurricane Disaster Fund Ginarte Law Firm. The law firm Ginarte thanks everyone for any sign of solidarity they can send to communities suffering by these terrible natural disasters.
