Recently, Joseph A. Ginarte has been named counsel for the National Coalition of Latino Officers. The National Coalition of Latino Officers is a nonprofit organization that is seeks to increase the representation and advancement of Latinos within the criminal justice system. Matthew Villani Celebrates July 4th by Giving Back

This Independence Day, Matthew Villani, an associate at our firm, participated in the Firecracker 4 Mile Run in Cranford, New Jersey. This four-mile run benefits the Jay Cees charitable organization. A New York Construction Worker Dies After Wall Collapses
A New York City construction worker lost his life in a construction accident. The 29-year-old worker suffered fatal trauma to the head when the wall of a trench collapsed, burying him under debris, according to news reports. [Read more…]
New York Construction Worker Falls to His Death
A construction worker’s first day on the job should be cause for celebration at the end of the day. Sadly, for one Brooklyn construction worker, his first day on the job was his last day after he fell to his death. The worker was working on the reparation of the façade on an 11-story Manhattan building when the accident happened. [Read more…]
New York Construction Worker Electrocuted
A New York construction worker was fatally injured in a recent workplace accident. According to reports, the 47-year-old construction worker was working in East Greenbush, approximately150 miles north of Manhattan, when the accident happened. The worker was employed by a paving company and was lowering a light tower at the time the accident happened. Apparently, the tower made contact with overhead power lines, setting off a fatal burst of electricity. Witnesses to the accident said the victim was consumed by the ensuing fire before anyone could do anything to help. [Read more…]

A rail car filled with construction materials caught on fire in New Jersey June 2012 when it was ignited by a welder. According to the Jersey Journal, the car was parked at the CSX rail yard on Pennsylvania Avenue in Kearny, New Jersey. Though no one was injured in the fire, the case brings up some important points. Deadly Crane Accident Kills Secaucus Construction Worker
Unfortunately, crane accidents are one of the most common types of accidents suffered by workers in the New Jersey construction industry. A fatal accident last month took the life of yet another construction worker when he fell to his death from a crane while working on the construction of a new apartment complex off Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus.
